Course Overview

With the right decor, a table can be a key element of design in any room. In this course, we’ll teach you the secrets to dressing a table to impress and how to move your design up a notch.

• Get an historical and cultural overview of table settings, tableware, and etiquette from the 18th century to the present day
• Learn about the Decorative Arts associated with the food and home decoration: silverware, glassware, earthenware and china
• Understand the decorum and rituals related to dining with an expert in a field, French curator Catherine Arminjeon, responsible for the “Tables Royales” exhibition at Versailles
