Come Remy

Côme Remy is a French lawyer and art historian, trained as an auctioneer in France and at Sotheby's in both London and Paris. He set up a collection for Hermes Paris, focusing on pieces made and sold by the well-known saddle maker. He then worked for Christie's for four years in New York City, London, Amsterdam, Monaco and Paris where he was head of the 20th Century Decorative Art department.

Côme now works as an art adviser and specialist for clients such as French auctioneers Drouot, insurance companies such as Llyod's syndicate of Insurance of London, Art funds and renowned collectors throughout the world.

At INSIGHT Côme Remy will be in charge of the History of Style department.

Qualifications

  • Institut National de Gemmologie (FR) diploma.
  • History of Art License, University of Lyon II (FR)
  • Law Master, University of Lyon III and Essex University (UK)
  • Works of Art Diploma, Sotheby's Institute, London
